The NBA’s 2023-24 regular season has officially ended, and the Boston Celtics have finished it with not only the best record in the Eastern Conference, but also in the entire league. That will give them home court advantage for as long as they are still in title contention, but it also makes the Celtics wait a bit to learn who they will face in the first round of the postseason.
That is because both the one and two seeds in each conference will play the teams that earn the right to be the seven and eight seed via the league’s 2024 play-in tournament. Still relatively new in a historical context, fans are just starting to get how that plays out.
