July 10, 2024 by Celtics Wire

Who is Boston Celtics second round pick Anton Watson? Picked up by the Celtics with the No. 54 overall pick of the 2024 NBA draft, Watson is a 6-foot-8 forward who weighs a hair under 230 lbs. out of Gonzaga.

A native of Spokane, Washington as part of the Pacific Northwest hoops scene, Watson put up 14.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game with the Bulldogs last season, shooting 57.8 from the floor overall, 41.2% from beyond the arc, and 65.3% from the free throw line. The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast, Adam Kaufman and Evan Valenti, linked up with guest Theo Lawson to talk it over on a recent episode.
