The Boston Celtics won their first game of the resumed 2021 Las Vegas Summer League after a slow start, and stashed point guard Yam Madar was no small part of the reason why. The Beit Dagan native had a solid debut in his first game stateside with the Summer Celtics, scoring 8 points, 2 rebounds, as many assists with just 1 turnover in 17 minutes of play without a foul.
Shooting 5-of-6 from the field overall, Boston’s No. 47 pick helped keep the team from going off the rails early and his active hands and high motor kept the Celtics in the game until his teammates won the day with late heroics.
After the game, Madar shared his thoughts about his inaugural tilt in Sin City, perhaps one of many in a green and white uniform.
Watch the video embedded above to hear what he had to say about the experience.
