The Boston Celtics have a closing problem as one of the worst teams in the NBA for closing out games, which may well be a product of their young age overall as a ball club. Few teams in the league have played more overtime periods, and more than a few games lost by Boston might have gone another way if they were able to score more late in the game.
It looks like the Celtics might be trending in the right direction with a pair of wins against the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic, but the team clearly has a ways to go given it took an overtime period and a career high from All-Star forward Jaylen Brown.
The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Beat” Evan Valenti and Adam Kaufman were recently joined by new play-by-play announcer for the Maine Celtics Brendan Glasheen to talk on this ongoing issue.
Watch the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts on how Boston might be able to change the trend.
