With Team USA poised to kick off Olympic play in Tokyo, Japan for the 2020 Olympiad in just a few hours, we thought we would take a look back at the last time the Boston Celtics had an active player on Team USA.
It was quite some time ago with that player being Larry Bird and his participation in the 1992 “Dream Team” iteration of the USA Basketball squad competing for gold in Barcelona, Spain. He would retire soon after, but left us with some highlights worth remembering compiled in this video put together by our friends at CLNS Media’s “History and Legends” channel.
