The Boston Celtics summer league squad beat the Atlanta Hawks 85 – 83 after a tight game throughout, save the first half of the first quarter that saw the Hawks jump out to a 10 – 0 lead. Israeli floor general Yam Madar entered the game and quickly helped turn the game around, however.
“We started off the game down 10-0 and he came in and brought that energy, that activeness, and it just carried over for all of us,” shared second-year point guard Payton Pritchard after the game. The Oregon product led all scorers with 23 points and 5 assists while Carsen Edwards added 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Wing Romeo Langford added 12 points and 6 boards, forward Aaron Nesmith 11 points, and Madar chipped in 8 more off the bench.

Recent draftee Juhann Begarin had a solid game as well, providing 7 points and 5 rebounds in Boston’s win over the Hawks in their first game of Las Vegas Summer League.
