Should Malcolm Brogdon be angry at the Celtics?

September 18, 2023 by Celtics Wire

It’s been months since the Boston Celtics acquired Kristaps Porzingis. Meaning it’s also been months since the Los Angeles Clippers pulled out of the deal to acquire Malcolm Brogdon. Yet, according to Gary Washburn on a recent episode of Celtics Beat, it would appear the reigning Sixth Man of the Year is still angry about the whole situation.

When joining the Celtics, Brogdon sacrificed a starting role in order to help Boston contend for a championship. The veteran guard became one of the top bench contributors in the NBA and had his healthiest season since entering the league as a rookie.

In the latest episode of the “Green With Envy” podcast, the hosts discuss whether Brogdon should still be angry with the Celtics. After all, had the trade gone through, the veteran guard would still have found himself on a contending team and would have been living in the Los Angeles sunshine. Brogdon would have been just fine in his new surroundings.
