Robert Williams III finds joy in balancing Boston Celtics basketball and family

April 1, 2023 by Celtics Wire

It can be hard for some fans to understand that NBA stars also have personal lives, families and off-court concerns that can take precedence over their activities on the court. For some players, that space apart from the game is a well from which they draw the energy and inspiration for their on-court activities.

Such is the case with Boston Celtics center Robert Williams III, who became a new father not too long ago and has been enjoying watching his children grow along with his role with Boston as a player.

Striking the balance between those two roles is not always easy, which the Louisiana native recently spoke at length about in an interview for Boston’s team-produced podcast, “The View From the Rafters.”

Check out the clip embedded above to hear what Timelord had to say about fatherhood and life as an NBA player.
