The Brooklyn Nets are still working through the final stages of vetting the hiring of Ime Udoka, sources tell ESPN.
When the Nets fired Steve Nash on Tuesday, they were widely expected to hire Udoka as early as Wednesday.
Udoka is under a season-long suspension by the Boston Celtics for an inappropriate workplace relationship with a female subordinate.
Udoka was previously an assistant coach with the Nets and has a long history with Sean Marks.
