With the NBA playoffs just around the corner, Celtics star Jaylen Brown suffered a bizarre injury to his shooting hand.
Brown told reporters Friday that he accidentally cut a finger on his right hand picking up a glass vase he knocked over. This incident took place while he was watering his plants Thursday night.
The cut was deep enough that Brown had to get five stitches. He wore a protective wrap on his right hand this Friday.
Brown is expected to be ready for the playoffs despite suffering this freak injury. That’s obviously great news for the Celtics.

Brown has been such an integral part of the Celtics’ success the past few years. The All-Star swingman will finish the 2022-23 regular season averaging 26.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
The Celtics are the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. They’ll face a team from the play-in tournament in the first round.
