NBA Fans Applauding Celtics Guard Derrick White’s New Appearance

July 2, 2023 by The Spun

For the past few months, Celtics guard Derrick White has dealt with a lot of jokes about his hairline. Though he hasn’t publicly commented on them, he clearly felt the need to make a change to his physical appearance.

On Friday, a photo of White attending a wedding went viral on Instargam. The reason it gained so much attention is because White shaved his head.

NBA fans around the world quickly rushed to social media to compliment White on his new look, and rightfully so.

“He looks good,” one fan said.

“Sometimes you have to let it go,” a second fan tweeted.

Another fan wrote, “He looks great.”

White earned the nickname “Derrick F—-n’ White” during this year’s postseason because of his game-winner over the Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. Unfortunately for the Celtics, they lost in Game 7 at home.

Overall though, it was a productive year for White. He averaged 12.4 points and 3.9 assists per game.

Perhaps White’s new look will give him even more confidence on the court next season.
