Jaylen Brown Picks Between Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark For Rookie Of The Year

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has officially weighed in on the WNBA Rookie of the Year race.

One thing is clear: the WNBA’s award for the top rookie will go to either Caitlin Clark or Angel Reese. In what has been a stellar first-year crop so far, Clark and Reese have stood out about their peers.

The debate over who is more deserving has gone on for a while now, with Brown sharing his thoughts in a recent video with House of Highlights.

“Right now, I think Angel Reese,” Brown said.

To be fair, Brown is friendly with Reese. He’s dating her close friend and former Chicago Sky teammate Kysre Gondrezick, and the three of them recently went viral courtside at a NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas.

Reese is averaging 13.5 points and a league-high 12.0 rebounds per game so far this season. The No. 7 overall pick and former LSU star has already set a WNBA record for consecutive double-doubles.

Clark, meanwhile, is averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists and 5.8 rebounds per outing. She’s currently leading the league in assists per game, and became the first rookie to record a triple-double in a game.

Clark and Reese also made history when they teamed up in the WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix last weekend, helping Team WNBA register a win over Team USA.
