Jaylen Brown Caught On Camera Sharing Negative Opinion Of Bronny James

July 16, 2024 by The Spun

You never know when the camera is on you. That’s a lesson Jaylen Brown just learned.

The Boston Celtics star and 2024 NBA Finals MVP has never been shy about sharing his opinions, but perhaps Brown wishes he kept his thoughts on Bronny James to himself during last night’s summer league action in Las Vegas.

Brown was courtside with girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick and her former Chicago Sky teammate Angel Reese watching the Celtics’ Summer League squad face the Los Angeles Lakers.

At one point, the cameras panned to Brown, and it appeared he told Gondrezick “I don’t think Bronny is a pro.”

Brown is not the first person to criticize Bronny’s pro prospects. His selection by the Lakers in the second round of this year’s NBA Draft was controversial enough, and that was before LeBron’s oldest son began struggling in the NBA Summer League.

Last night, Bronny finished with two points on 1-of-5 shooting, three fouls, two turnovers and one assist in the Lakers’ 88-74 loss.

Meanwhile, Brown tried to save face this morning with his response to a tweet showing his exchange with Gondrezick.

“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the NBA it reflects greatness and longevity! Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful. I look forward to watching his growth,” Brown said on X/Twitter.

Yeah, we’re not buying the sincerity of that.
