Did Team USA really snub Celtics forward Jaylen Brown for political reasons involving Nike?

July 18, 2024 by Celtics Wire

Did Team USA really snub star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown for political reasons involving Nike? The Celtics star has been vocal about his belief that his sneaker free agency and position toward the shoe manufacturer is the reason why he won’t be suiting up for the US National Team in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Brown recently spoke to the media at Las Vegas Summer League about his stance on not being selected by Team USA. In the latest episode of The Big 3 NBA Podcast, A. Sherrod Blakely, Gary Washburn, and Kwani Lunis reacted to JB’s comments, questioning the validity of his Nike claims. Washburn believes that he’s telling the truth.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say.
