Derrick White an option for Warriors?

May 20, 2025 by Hoops Hype

Appearing on The Zach Lowe Show, Murdock said the Warriors are “looking at” White this offseason, citing him as the kind of high-IQ, two-way player who could elevate Golden State’s backcourt. “Another guy that I think you should look at for the Warriors going forward is Derrick White… I think that’s something the Warriors are looking at right now.”

More on this storyline

The Celtics’ precise determination to keep their various veterans is difficult to calculate so soon after the defending champions’ Round 2 exit to the Knicks in six games and the devastating loss of Jayson Tatum to an Achilles rupture, but the early projections in circulation suggest Boston is more apt to make Jrue Holiday available via trade this offseason than Derrick White. Most rival teams continue to regard Kristaps Porziņģis as the most movable Boston vet thanks to the Latvian big man’s $30.7 million expiring contract. Porziņģis, though, managed to exceed 20 minutes in only one of the Celtics’ games in the New York series because of a perplexing energy-sapping illness that has plagued him since March. -via marcstein.substack.com / May 19, 2025
Derrick White on the Celtics season coming to an end: “It sucks. Never gonna get this season back. Never gonna have the exact same team again.” -via reddit / May 16, 2025
Gary Washburn: Without Jayson Tatum, #Celtics roll to a 127-102 win over #Knicks and are money for those who bet the BOS (-4.5) line. Derrick White 34, Jaylen Brown 26, Payton Pritchard 17, Jrue Holiday 14, Al Horford 12, Luke Kornet 10, 9 reb, 7 blk; Karl-Anthony Towns 24, Jalen Brunson 22, Mikal Bridges 19, Miles McBride 11. -via Twitter @GwashburnGlobe / May 14, 2025
