Concerning Video Of Luka Doncic Emerges Before Game 2 vs. Celtics

June 27, 2024 by The Spun

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has dealt with a slew of injuries in his NBA career, but there really couldn’t be any worse timing for one to manifest than right now, ahead of Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

During practice today, Doncic was seen grabbing his chest right around the ribs. He might have even been grimacing, as Tomer Azarly of Clutch Points noted:

“Luka Doncic has been grabbing at his chest/rib area and kind of grimacing here at Mavs practice before Game 2,” Azarly wrote.

But fans aren’t buying that Doncic is dealing with any real issue right now. A lot are arguing that Doncic is just pretending to be hurt because the Mavericks are down 1-0 to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals and doesn’t want to lose face if he loses the series while healthy.

“There goes Luka and his wanna be injuries again. Pretending that he’s injured and then comes out and scores 50 points. I guess that’s how you make heroes,” one replied.

“Smart. Now he’ll get 0 blame when loses in 5,” wrote another.

“One thing about Luka is when he’s down, he’s gonna be “injured” but let him start heating up and that pain is gone,” a third wrote.

Do you think Luka Doncic is faking an injury right now, or is it something else?
