Charles Barkley Rips ‘Dumbass’ Celtics During Game 7 Monday Night

Charles Barkley didn’t like what he saw from the Boston Celtics in the opening half of Monday’s Game 7.

The Celtics went into intermission down 52-41 to the Miami Heat. During TNT’s halftime show, the vocal analyst blasted Boston’s lackadaisical start.

“Watching these dumbass Celtics play is making my head hurt,” Barkley said.

Barkley, who guaranteed Boston would win the decisive Eastern Conference Finals matchup, panned the Celtics for jacking up threes. They went 4-of-21 from downtown during the opening half.

“It’s so bad to watch them play,” Barkley continued. “There’s no ball movement. There’s no body movement, and it’s just frustrating watching a team with this much talent just play stupid.”

Boston sent the series back home for a Game 7 by erasing a 3-0 deficit. With momentum supposedly on their side, the Celtics began Monday night’s contest by scoring 15 points in the first quarter.

Making matters worse, Miami opened the second half on a 7-2 run. Boston must flip the script to avoid going home and receiving even more condemnation from Barkley after the game.
