The Boston Celtics are ranked quite low — 17th in the NBA out of 30 franchises — in a new power ranking by Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz. And while it makes sense to remove the Celtics from among the elite teams of the league after the debacle of disappointment that was their 2020-21 campaign, there are some real head-scratchers ahead of Boston in this power ranking.
There are certainly some roster kinks in need of attention regarding the construction and balance of the team, and as an unproven head coach new top dog Ime Udoka certainly can be a bit of a question mark. But much of the same arguments could be levied against a number of teams ranked higher than Boston as well.
To Swartz’ credit, the rosters as-is are all that is being considered, but that doesn’t address the uneven assessment in our estimation.
The famed rapper and actor opened up an interesting window into an intense era of competition between the two clubs. https://t.co/DlFgSgQHPw
