The Boston Celtics have signed wings R.J. Luis and Aaron Scott to Exhibit 10 contracts. Both Luis and Scott will be waived on Saturday, then will join the Maine Celtics for the upcoming G League season.
Luis was originally acquired by Boston in a trade that sent Georges Niang to the Utah Jazz. The Celtics waived Luis from his two-way contract, but are bringing him back to get him to Maine. By waiving, then re-signing Luis, it allows the player to collect an Exhibit 10 bonus for staying with the G League Celtics for 60 days.
Scott went undrafted out of St. John’s at the 2025 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals as a senior for the Red Storm.
