The Boston Celtics are moving on in the 2024 NBA postseason. Boston crushed the Miami Heat 118-84 at home in Game 5, securing a 4-1 series victory in the process. With the win, the Celtics are set to face either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Orlando Magic in the next round of the playoffs.

For the game, the Celtics shot 42-for-77 from the field, taking advantage of a Miami defense that was too slow and too complacent to put up much of a fight. By halftime, Boston led 68-46 and never looked back. In total, five players scored 10 or more points for the home team in what was a dominant performance from wire to wire. A 34-point win is tied for the third-largest victory in franchise playoff history for Boston.
