The Boston Celtics were ranked a reasonable 13th in the NBA according to a recent ESPN power rankings released soon after the Game 6 victory of the Milwaukee Bucks over the Phoenix Suns.
Just behind the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat and just ahead of the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies, the Celtics find themselves lower than they would obviously like to be assessed. But, given the array of shortcomings that came to fruition last season for Boston even after taking into account their brutal COVID toll and several significant injury issues, it is probably not an unfair rating.
