There are now 23 numbers now out of circulation for future Boston Celtics players after the team raised Hall of Fame Celtics champion center Kevin Garnett’s No. 5 jersey up to the rafters. Moreover, the Ray Allen rift is healed, and the Big Ticket properly honored. So, we can put KG’s big day firmly in the rearview mirror and focus on the Boston roster of today — but not without a look back at Garnett’s career capstone.
