Are Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown among the best players in Celtics history?

July 16, 2024 by Celtics Wire

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are both homegrown talents for the Boston Celtics. They were drafted by Danny Ainge and nurtured by Brad Stevens and his coaching staff. During their tenure with the Celtics, they’ve played for three head coaches and consistently developed their skillsets to become two of the best forwards in the NBA.

This past season, Tatum and Brown led Boston to its 18th championship. They finally reached a goal they’ve both been working toward since entering the NBA and disproved numerous media narratives in the process.

In a recent episode of WEEI’s “Gresh and Fauria,” the hosts discussed Tatum and Brown’s careers to date and what their resumes could look like at the end of their careers. The discussion then began to focus on where they rank in Celtics history and within sports history throughout the 21st Century.
