While he was thrust into one of the most difficult seasons for the Boston Celtics and NBA in modern times with little in the way of preparation after a long break from basketball due to injury while at Vanderbilt, Celtics small forward Aaron Nesmith still managed to fight his way into a regular role with Boston’s rotation by the end of the 2020-21 season.
This time around, the South Carolina native is going to have a full offseason to better learn his new team’s system, and work on honing his skills to work at the NBA level. He will also get some run with the team’s summer league squad in Las Vegas next week and spoke with the media after practice on Friday.
“It’s awesome being able to get all this time to prepare and be with these guys for longer and definitely learn the new system,” said the Vanderbilt product.
