  • Boston will open on the road this season. This time they are the team that opens the season at Toronto. They will return home on Wednesday as they once again start the home slate against Minnesota.
  • We didn’t see Frankel play in the preseason camp but that was not due to her expected playing minutes for the year. She should get the nod and start the game.
  • Expectations are high as Boston was a game short of a trophy last season. Last year coming in Boston was a favorite but faltered through the season. The Fleet will need to be consistent early if they want to make another run.
  • Another fresh face to watch for is first round pick Hannah Bilka, formerly oof Chestnut Hill as she returns to the Bay State after transferring to Ohio State. She has been a regular feature for Team USA and looks to slot with Knight and Mueller n the top line.
  • One of the most noticeable missing faces is Gigi Marvin, a legend of the sport, as she retired after falling short in her final game last season. Kaleigh Fratkin also has departed leaving Hillary Knight as the only remaining Fleet member that has won the other two leagues.
