Reports: Bruins sign both Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov

Big spending!

If you were hoping the Bruins would make a big splash today, it appears you’ve gotten your wish:

Boston lands both Lindholm and Zadorov.

That would be center Elias Lindholm and defenseman Nikita Zadorov, both of whom most recently played for Vancouver.

Zadorov is left-shot defenseman who turned 29 back in April.

He’s a big dude, checking in at 6′ 5″ and close to 250 pounds.

(Fun fact: Zadorov, who was drafted by Buffalo, scored his first NHL goal against the Bruins back in 2013.)

Lindholm, who was reportedly a trade target for the Bruins back in the spring, will turn 30 in December.

He projects to be the impact center the Bruins have been seeking since the retirements on Davis Krejci and Patrice Bergeron.

Per Elliotte Friedman, the B’s will pay Lindholm just over $54 million over the course of seven years:

Elias Lindholm 7 x $7.75 Boston

The Bruins will also pay Zadorov $30 million over six years:

We’ll update this post as additional details become available, but…there are your big moves!
