A blueliner makes it back to Black and Gold!

After a few days of waiting, it appears the Boston Bruins have made their first post-Hall signing of Free Agency, and it’s to bring back D-man Mike Reilly!

Pretty much everybody and their dog was told at some point over the day that Mike Reilly had gotten close to a deal with the B’s, with the expectation being that we’d be sitting and waiting until tomorrow for the official call to be made.

…And then local insider man Pierre LeBrun finally broke the ice and just confirmed it for everybody! Thanks Pierre!

He has indeed, three years, $3M AAV for Mike Reilly in Boston according to a source https://t.co/sFJy08oxLo

3×3 is good value on a defenseman who can play in your Top 4, and did so with aplomb after being acquired via Trade from Ottawa, and possibly do some quality power play time with that passing acumen he brings. I for one am very excited to see him back on their blueline!

So let’s get ready, Free Agency’s only just started, and it’s sure to be nuts.

And let’s also welcome Mike back to the Black and Gold! Go buy yourself something nice downtown!
