Game notes

  • Well this is it! The final game of the regular season and the Boston Bruins will close it out against the Ottawa Senators.
  • Both teams played last night — one with playoff positioning still at hand and the other just going through the motions.
  • While head-to-head this game doesn’t mean much, the Bruins are 2-0-0 against Ottawa this season. The two last saw each other on March 19, a 6-2 Bruins’ win.
  • Jim Montgomery didn’t rest anyone against the Capitals last night, so it will be interesting to see who sits out tonight. Pat Maroon got another game under his belt last night. Again, it will be curious what Montgomery decides to do with his lineup.
  • With the goalie rotation, we’ll get Linus Ullmark between the pipes.
  • The goal is just don’t get hurt or do anything stupid. The power play continues to need work though.
  • The B’s mixed things up during Monday’s practice with power-play units to get something going. That seems to be one of the biggest areas of concerns heading into the postseason.
  • Playoff hockey is just three periods away now!
  • See ya tonight!
