NHL Predictions

Vegas Golden Knights vs Boston Bruins

All-time Series: Bruins 8-4 Golden Knights

Time: 10:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time

How to Watch TV: NESN, SCRIPPS

Location: T-Mobile Arena, Vegas

Boston Bruins Storyline

Boston had started well. After winning their first three games, the Bruins finally stumbled, dropping a close game to Tampa Bay on Monday. After falling behind 4-1 early, Boston rallied to make it 4-3 but couldn’t complete the comeback in the third period.

This game kicks off their first road trip of the season, as they head west for a three-game stretch. The lineup is expected to be the same as on Monday, though Hampus Lindholm skating for the first time on Wednesday could bring a surprise. Head coach Marco Sturm, however, told the media that Lindholm is still considered day-to-day.

Vegas Golden Knights Storyline

Vegas has had a strange start to the season, going to overtime in three of their first four games, with their most recent matchup against the Flames being the first to finish in regulation. The team also suffered a major blow when Adin Hill was injured and unable to finish the game. As of this writing, there is no update on the severity of the injury or who will start in goal for Vegas.

Prediction

This game will feature a clash between two of the league’s hottest players. Jack Eichel, a Massachusetts native who has been electric with nine points in four games, and Vegas’ top performers. If the contest turns into an offensive battle and Eichel replicates his last performance, scoring two goals and firing seven shots on goal against Calgary, Boston could be in trouble. On the other end, they’ll have to face one of the NHL’s hottest goalies, Jeremy Swayman, who has allowed only two goals on 58 shots for a .966 save percentage in his first two games. If Swayman plays, he could steal this one, but Vegas will be eager to put on a show for their home crowd and aim for a convincing victory.

Prediction: Vegas win 4-1.

Prop Bets

As for prop bets, we have a couple picks. We like Mitch Marner to breakthrough in the goal column. He’s third on the team in shots, and generating offence with four assists through four games. For the Bs, take David Pastrnak. He’s reliable of a goal scorer as there is, and know he needs to step up. Using our score prediction, it would make for a solid parlay.
