We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today’s featured game is the Minnesota Wild vs Chicago Blackhawks. Be sure to check out more NHL predictions in the coming days as the 2024-25 season continues.

NHL Predictions

Minnesota Wild vs Chicago Blackhawks

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

TV: Chicago Sports Network; Fan Duel Sports Wisconsin; Fan Duel Sports North; SN360; ESPN+

Our first and featured game of NHL predictions has the Wild taking on the Blackhawks. Filip Gustavsson is the projected starter, but always check social media before locking in the fantasy starter. Minnesota is coming off a 5-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night. Kirill Kaprizov is off to a blistering spot with nine goals, 18 assists for 27 points so far this season.

Chicago is expected to counter with Petr Mrazek is the expected starter for this game. Ryan Donato is first in goals with seven while Connor Bedard is leading assists (10) and points (17). Chicago has lost two consecutive games coming into this one. The Blackhawks have dropped seven of their last 10 games prior to Sunday’s game.

Minnesota comes in hot, but this a rivalry game. However, the Wild should win this.

Prediction: Wild win 5-2.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs Anaheim Ducks

Time: 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

TV: Fan Duel Sports Ohio; KCOP; ESPN+

Our final game of the night has the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Ducks in Anaheim. These are two teams that have been competitive in the early part of the season. Daniil Tarasov is the expected starter for the Blue Jackets. Sean Monahan is first in goals for the Blue Jackets while Kirill Marchenko is tops in assists (8) and points (13). Columbus has dropped three straight games before this one.

Lukas Dostal is the projected starter for the Ducks, who have looked decent despite losing four straight games. Anaheim does have trouble scoring as Troy Terry is first in goals (5) and points (10). Mason McTavish is tops in assists with six for the Ducks.

Anaheim does have trouble scoring, but Tarasov has struggled with a 4.02 goals-against-average.

Prediction: Ducks win 4-2.

Prop Bets of the Night

We wrap up this edition of NHL predictions with some prop bets. We’ll start off with the opening game and the Blackhawks. Bedard is a solid bet at +175 on Bet365 as an anytime goalscorer. On the Wild side, take Matthew Boldy at +175 also on Bet365.

For the final game of the night, Monahan seems like a solid play as an anytime goalscorer at +230 on FanDuel. On the Anaheim side, Leo Carlsson is worth a risk at +260 for an anytime goalscorer at FanDuel.
