NHL Predictions

Vancouver Canucks vs New Jersey Devils

Head-to-Head: Canucks 0-1 Devils

Time: 7:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: Amazon Prime Video (Canada); ESPN+; Hulu; Disney+

We start NHL predictions with our featured game between the Canucks and Devils. Vancouver is likely to start Kevin Lankinen in goal for this game, but always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Canucks are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games, but have lost the last two games entering this one. Jake DeBrusk has registered 23 goals and 17 assists for Vancouver.

Jacob Markstrom is expected to get the start for the Devils against one of his former teams. New Jersey is 4-6 in the last 10 and that includes two straight losses. The Devils’ offence has struggled as of late with the amount of injuries have taken. Timo Meier has tallied 20 goals with 25 assists for New Jersey.

Both teams are in need of a victory, but the Devils get the two points.

Prediction: Devils win 4-2.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs New York Islanders

Head-to-Head: Blue Jackets 1-1 Islanders

Time: 7:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: Fan Duel Sports Ohio; MSGSN; ESPN+

It’s an important matchup in the Eastern Conference as the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the New York Islanders in the second game of NHL predictions. Elvis Merzlikins is the probable starter for the Blue Jackets, who are 2-7-1 in the last 10. Columbus has dropped six straight games at the worst possible time. Zach Werenski has notched 20 goals and 49 assists for the Blue Jackets.

Ilya Sorokin is expected to get the starter for the Isles, who are two points ahead of the Blue Jackets in the post-season race. New York is 5-3-2 in the last 10 games, but lose in the last game. Bo Horvat has recorded 23 goals with 25 assists for the Islanders. Many left the Isles for dead, but they have managed to insert themselves into the Stanley Cup Playoff conversation.

Both teams need a win, but Columbus snaps its recent funk.

Prediction: Blue Jackets win 4-3.

Minnesota Wild vs Dallas Stars

Head-to-Head: Wild 1-1 Stars

Time: 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: Fan Duel Sports North; Fan Duel Sports Wisconsin X; Victory; ESPN+

Our last featured game is a Central Division matchup between the Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Stars. Minnesota is projected to go with Filip Gustavsson in between the pipes in this game. The Wild are 6-3-1 in the last 10 games and have three straight victories heading into this one. Matt  Boldy has two goals and six assists over the last 10 games for Minnesota.

Jake Oettinger is the expected starter for the Stars, who are 6-2-2 in the last 10 games entering this game. Dallas has great record against familiar foes with a 13-5-2 mark against the Central Division. Wyatt Johnston has been averaging a point a game as of late with seven goals and three assists over the last 10 games.

This could be a post-season preview, but the Stars get the win.

Prediction: Stars win 4-2.

Detroit Red Wings vs Utah Hockey Club

Head-to-Head: Red Wings 0-1 Utah HC

Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: Utah16; Fan Duel Sports Detroit; ESPN_

Prediction: Red Wings win 5-3.
