In today’s round of NHL Predictions, we are looking at the game between the Colorado Avalanche vs Edmonton Oilers. Be sure to check out more NHL Predictions as the 2024-25 season continues.

NHL Predictions

Nashville Predators vs Chicago Blackhawks

Head-to-Head: Predators 2-0 Blackhawks

Time: 8:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

TV: Fan Duel Sports South; Chicago Sports Network; ESPN+

We open NHL predictions with a Central Division matchup between the Nashville Predators versus Chicago Blackhawks. Nashville is projected to go with Juuse Saros in goal for this one. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Predators are 5-5 in the last 10 games, but have dropped the last five in a row. Steven Stamkos has been a bright spot as of late with five goals with two assists over the past 10 games for Nashville.

Petr Mrazek is the likely starter in goal for the Blackhawks, who are 2-4-4 in the last 10 games. This recent run includes three consecutive losses for Chicago entering this divisional matchup. Teuvo Teravainen has totaled 11 goals and 25 assists for the Blackhawks.

Some team has to win because ties don’t exist in the NHL anymore. Both teams are struggling bad, but Nashville gets the win in this one.

Prediction: Predators win 4-2.

Colorado Avalanche vs Edmonton Oilers

Head-to-Head: Avalanche 0-2 Oilers

Time: 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

TV: SN West; Altitude; ESPN+

The final and featured game of NHL predictions has the Avalanche visiting the Oilers in a prime Western Conference matchup. Colorado is probable to go with Scott Wedgewood in the crease for this game after beating the Calgary Flames, 4-2, the night before. The Avs are 5-4-1 coming into this game against the Oilers. Cale Makar is  making his case for the Norris Trophy with 20 goals and 40 assists for Colorado so far this season.

Edmonton is expected to go with Stuart Skinner in the blue paint for this game. The Oilers are 6-3-1 in the last 10 games and that includes victories in their last two games. Edmonton is a strong 18-9-2 in home games for the 2024-25 campaign. Leon Draisaitl has been piling up the points with 38 goals and 43 assists for the Oilers.

It’s hard to sweep a team three times in the regular season. Edmonton does have the advantage of extra rest. However, Colorado gets the victory in this one.

Prediction: Avalanche win 4-3.

Prop Bets of the Night

We round of NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s zero in on the featured game for some preferred props. For Colorado, take Artturi Lehkonen to get the over on 0.5 points for this one. As for Edmonton, go with Zach Hyman to score a goal. If you feel adventurous, take Hyman to net a power-play marker.
