NHL Predictions

Washington Capitals vs Boston Bruins

Head-to-Head: Capitals 1-1 Bruins

Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: SN1; NESN; Monumental Sports Network; ESPN+

We open up NHL predictions with our featured matchup of the Capitals visiting the Bruins. Washington is expected to go with Charlie Lindgren in goal for this game. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Capitals may be in the mix for the President’s Trophy, but they’ve lost three straight entering this game. Dylan Strome has recorded 23 goals and 47 assists for Washington.

The Capitals may be going through a rough patch, but it’s not as bad as the one the Bruins are going through. Boston has lost its last eight consecutive games and are 2-7-1 in the last 10 games. Jeremy Swayman is the expected starter for B’s in this game. Boston has given up nearly four goals per game in this latest stretch. David Pastrnak has been one of the few positives this season with 35 goals and 51 assists for the Bruins.

All eyes will be on Alex Ovechkin, but the Capitals snap their streak.

Prediction: Capitals win 5-2.

Edmonton Oilers vs Vegas Golden Knights

Head-to-Head: Oilers 1-2 Golden Knights

Time: 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: SN1; Scripps Vegas; ESPN+

We have another big matchup in NHL predictions as the Edmonton Oilers take on the Vegas Golden Knights. Edmonton is projected to go with Calvin Pickard in the blue paint for this game. The Oilers are 5-4-1 in the last 10 games and got a lift getting Leon Draisaitl back in the lineup. Draisaitl has 51 goals and 53 assists for Edmonton.

Adin Hill is the expected starter for the Golden Knights, who are winners of the last six games. Vegas is also 7-1-2 in the last 10 games and is looking like a contender for its second Stanley Cup. Jack Eichel is continuing to do well this season with seven goals and nine assists over the last 10 games.

Edmonton does get a boost having Draisaitl back, but Vegas is on a run.

Prediction: Golden Knights win 4-3.

Winnipeg Jets vs Los Angeles Kings

Head-to-Head: Jets 0-2 Kings

Time: 10:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

TV: TSN3; Fan Duel Sports West; ESPN+

Our last game of NHL predictions is a prime matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and Los Angeles Kings. Connor Hellebuyck is the probable starter for the Jets, who are 7-3 in the last 10 games. This recent run includes three consecutive victories entering this game. Former Kings player Alex Iafallo has supplied four goals and added one assist over the past 10 games.

Darcy Kuemper is the expected starter in this game for the Kings, who are also 7-3 in the last 10 games. Los Angeles is 27-4-4 at Crypto.com Arena this campaign. Adrian Kempe has racked up 31 goals with 29 assists for the Kings.

This is a possible Western Conference Final preview. Winnipeg finally breaks through to avoid the season-sweep.

Prediction: Jets win 3-2.

Prop Bets of the Night

We round out NHL predictions with some prop bets of the night. Let’s go back to our featured game for this one. We think Ovechkin draws one goal closer to Wayne Gretzky with a goal tonight. For Boston, take Morgan Geekie to get at least a point.
