The Costco of prospects.
Tuesday! It’s the day after Monday.
The B’s had their initial captain’s/captains’ practice yesterday, and by most accounts, there were plenty of regulars (or soon-to-be regulars, at least) in the mix.
This should come as no surprise given how much we heard about him over the offseason, but Jack Studnicka caught the eye of many yesterday, both with his BULK and his shot:

On the one hand, it’s certainly not a bad thing to hear that Studnicka has put on muscle, looks bigger, looks ready to go, etc.
On the other hand, it’s kind of a sports cliche that a guy comes into the season in “the best shape of his life,” ready to make an impact.
My guess is that the truth with Studnicka lies somewhere in the middle, and even that isn’t a bad thing: it’d be a sign of improvement and a sign that the kid is ready to put the necessary work in.
Today’s actually an off day (relatively speaking) for the organization, but we’ll see players back on the ice at Warrior tomorrow for the first day of rookie camp ahead of the tournament this weekend.
What’s on tap for today?
