Now like many prospects before, there’s always a wonder of when European prospects are actually going to make it to North America, but it seems the Bruins didn’t want to wait.

NSD in Sweden indicated that he will be heading straight to Boston once the ink dries on his contract.

The Bruins confirmed the contract with a press release on Monday afternoon; Lysell’s ELC is for three years, with an AAV of $925,000.

“The Bruins are excited to have signed Fabian to his first NHL contract,” said GM Don Sweeney in the aforementioned press release. “Fabian is a talented young player, and we look forward to working with Fabian throughout the development process.”

He’s likely to be joining training camp when that starts up, and then heading to Providence for the year if all goes according to plan. But y’never know!

First rounders can surprise you.

Either way, please welcome Fabian officially to the Boston Bruins!
