The Bruins take a swing on the big man.

Alright, so Don’s rolling the dice.

The Boston Bruins have chosen Center Dean Letourneau from St Andrews College in Canadian Prep 25th overall.

With the 25th pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, the #NHLBruins select forward Dean Letourneau.

Our Draft Profile on this player is here, so I’ll summarize it in this post:

Letourneau’s physical gifts are absolutely preposterous; and it served him well at St. Andrews this year and will likely do so when he makes the jump to BC next fall. He was a physical presence but more known for sheer dominance as a player; able to drive to the net with speed and impressive hand-eye. However, his understanding of his physical gifts is a bit limited, and thanks to the relative unknown of playing for a Canadian Prep school, there’s ultimately little info on what the B’s really have here until he starts playing for the Eagles out in Newton.

Letourneau is a project, but if he can make the next couple of steps in the NCAA…he’s liable to be a problem for the rest of the division for years to come.

Let’s all welcome Dean to the Boston Bruins!
