The Boston Bruins announced on Monday morning that they’ve extended Mason Lohrei to a two-year contract at $3.2M AAV.

The 24-year-old continued to show growth with the Black and Gold last season, and the brass sees him as a part of the defensive core going forward. This bridge deal certainly helps with a heavily inflating cap in the coming season. He was an RFA this offseason, so it looks good on the front office to get this business done before the UFA window opens up. What do you make of seeing this deal?
